Uncharted is cheaper, get that instead.

Honestly, my save file says I'm 18% through and I've done almost nothing. The gameplay consists of approaching a situation and deciding if you can stealth kill someone, then shooting the rest of the enemies. If there's a ladder that needs to be picked up and moved somewhere, you'll have to do that too. It's kinda awkward control wise, but it's mostly the right button is instructed. I'll play it through because the story is alright and the graphics are really good, but something needs to improve in my experience for it to come close to living up to the hype.

Sounds super thrilling.

just keep playing. the game for me started strong, then got slow and now it's picking up again

you can stealth kill everything so far, no need for shootin. be brave and go choke a bitch

unlike halo, this game is all about humping butts. in a big encounter with feral enemies, i did the opposite though. punch some, run away, punch some, run away. ai kills the rest. so broken :)

I thought this game was universally acclaimed? Is it not that good?

i bet if he could he'd run around with sniper and rocket launcher all day

That is the best actual combo.
Also not an actual spoiler ^

I think everyone goes with it being overrated. I think it looks fun and takes a very "real" approach to the whole zombie apocalypse thing with a pretty average story. Nothing out of the ordinary but still entertaining. A lot of people think it's overrated because of the massive amount of acclaim it's been getting from just about every reviewer. 10/10s everywhere. No one seems to really point out its flaws or if they do they ignore them and still give it a 10/10.

Still, not that bad a game. It kind of reminds me of MGS without all of the absurdity thus making it a bit less interesting unless you're into that kind of thing.

That sounds really boring.

Maybe it's just because I haven't played a lot of games lately and I just had unrealistic expectations. Then again, I really liked Uncharted 2. Now I'm at about 30% completion on Uncharted 4: Escort Ellen Page.

I beat it. I enjoyed the story. There are plenty of 'oh shit' moments for me. I actually got attached to the characters which seems to happen rarely (for me anyway) these days. Gameplay got kinda repetitive near the end and the AI was pretty dumb sometimes. Exploring lots made the game pretty easy. Stealthing through a pack of clickers was incredibly tense the first time but every other time it was pretty boring. I don't think you can get every upgrade on the first playthrough, you have to do NG+. I liked being able to craft stuff, which felt fitting given the setting.

I'm not sure if this game warrants 10/10 and perfects across the board but it is definitely good. Worth a buy from any PS3 owner imo.
